After receiving the missing report of actress Raima, police launched an investigation, and on January 17th, local residents of Kadamtoli Area made a call that assisted in Raima’s discovery.

According to reports, a body was discovered near the Alipore Bridge in Kadamtoli. When police arrived in response to a call, they discovered that the body in the bag belonged to actress Raima Islam. The actress’s body was immediately taken to Sir Salumullah Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and police resumed their investigation.

As a result, authorities detained the actress’s husband, Mr. Shakhawat Ali Nobel, for questioning. Raima’s body was discovered with numerous cruelly battered and injured markings. After a few questions and torching by police, Raima’s husband confessed to the crime and admitted to murdering his wife with the help of his friend SMY Abdullah Farhad.

He claimed that he murdered her due to marital strife and that a friend helped him dispose of the body. Sub-inspector Chunnu Mia oversaw the entire investigation, and he filed a petition to detain Raima’s husband and his friend for ten days.

Earlier in 2021, rumors and speculation circulated that Raima was dating well-known Bangladeshi actor Zayed Khan. Zayed Khan, on the other hand, stated at the time that he had not been in contact with Raima for the previous two years and that everything was a plot against him.

Because the Murdered case was solved so quickly, Dhaka’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Rabeya Begum remanded Shakhawat and his companion in custody for three days of questioning. Raima was murdered between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on January 16th, 2022, due to marital problems and an altercation with Shakhawa Ali, according to the investigating officer.
