Tamara Rojo, a Spanish dancer, is praised for her “artistic vision and risk-taking.” She is English National Ballet’s lead principal dancer and artistic director. Since April 2012, she has held the role.
She received her Ph.D. from Madrid University and was formerly a senior ballerina with The Royal Ballet in London’s Covent Garden.

Tamara Rojo, the lone child of Spanish descent, was born in Montreal, Canada, on May 17, 1974. Before moving to Madrid, Spain, she lived in Canada for the first four months of her life. Her family grew raised in disadvantaged housing.
Tamara graduated with honors from the Bachelor of Dance program and the Master of Theatrical Arts programs at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid, respectively.
She currently resides in Bloomsbury, London, but her family (parents) continue to reside in Spain.
Tamara started dancing when she was five years old. At the Victor Ullate School and Madrid Royal Conservatory of Dance, she started her ballet training. Later, she joined Ballet de la Comunidad de Madrid, where she made her professional debut.
She had no prior experience, no unique credentials, and didn’t speak the language when she initially arrived in London. She worked for the Scottish National Ballet for a very little wage.
Dating Status
On February 27, 2018, Tamara Rojo discussed her relationship with her Mexican partner, Isaac Hernández, a senior dancer with the English National Ballet, in an interview with the Evening Standard.
Isaac has been chosen as Mexico’s ambassador for the arts and tourism. He also became one of the youngest recipients of Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto’s Outstanding Artist Award.
Tamara and Isaac had been dating for one and a half years at the time of the interview. They also never concealed their relationship in the hopes that their feelings for one another wouldn’t be resented.
Isaac, who is 16 years her junior, drew criticism of various kinds. Tamara responded by:
I’m a very private person, so I did find it quite difficult. I wondered if it would be the same if it was an older man with a younger woman. But I’m very fortunate to have found somebody I want to spend my life with and who shares my passion. I’m happy – but I feel that is also something that bothers people!
She continued by saying that the age difference did not appear to exist between them and that she would “definitely recommend it” to other women.
Tamara had had a romantic relationship with dancer Alan Jones.
