Photographer, writer, actress, and former film director Sasha Czack is a native of the United States. She is most well-known as the ex-wife of screenwriter, filmmaker, and Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone, though. She entered the entertainment industry by taking on small TV jobs after receiving her degree in media studies from Notre Dame. She appeared in the TV show “Love of Life” and the short drama “Vic,” both of which were directed and co-written by Sage, her oldest son.
Long Lost Love, a short film, was also directed and written by her. Early in the 1970s, when Stallone had only made a few movies, she got married. Sasha, a skilled photographer, continued to serve as the main still photographer for Sylvester Stallone’s blockbuster movie Rocky, which won three Oscars and elevated Stallone to stardom in the years that followed. Her second marriage to Rick Ash ended similarly. Sasha is currently unmarried, raising her son Seargoh who has autism, and she continues to be involved with the Autistic Foundation.
Rise To Fame
From the University of Notre Dame du Lac in the US, Sasha received a degree in media studies. She started looking for acting jobs in both films and television after graduating. She made one of her first acting attempts by appearing in the CBS network’s American soap opera “Love of Life.” She was chosen for the main role in the 1972 American drama film “Play It As It Lays” by director Frank Perry, but her fiancé, Stallone, requested she stay in New York to assist him in typing screenplays.
She attracted a lot of attention after becoming married to Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone, who by then had already been in a few films with leading roles, including “No Place to Hide” (1970) and “The Lords of Flatbush” (1974). On December 28, 1974, the two exchanged vows in a ceremony that received a lot of media coverage. After getting married, the pair moved to California, where they welcomed Sage Moonblood, their first son, on May 5, 1976. In the years to come, Stallone became one of the most popular Hollywood stars, becoming known all over the world for movies like “Rocky,” “Rambo,” “The Expendables,” and their respective sequels, among others. Among them, Sasha served as the film’s primary still photographer for the 1976 Oscar-winning American sports movie Rocky.
Seargeoh, Sasha’s second child, was diagnosed with autism in 1979. As a result, Sasha started working closely with the Autistic Foundation. After a while, she also stopped working as a photographer. After about 11 years of marriage, she and Stallone split on February 14, 1985, due to a series of terrible events. The divorce, which included a $12 million payout—one of the then-record payouts—made international headlines and thrust Sasha back into the spotlight. Stallone’s relationship with his sons became strained as a result of the divorce. Sage, however, later collaborated on other movies with his father, which somewhat improved their relationship.
Sasha moved on, writing and directing the short film “Long Lost Love” in 1996. Rick Ash, who later married Sasha in 1997, was the re-recording mixer for the short. However, this marriage was also brief. On January 1, 2006, premiere of the American drama short “Vic,” Sage made his directorial debut. Sasha played Lilly in the movie. After a while, she picked up the camera again to work as a still photographer on her son’s movie. Sage passed away on July 13, 2012, and it is thought that heart illness was the cause of their death.
