With 30 wins, he was ranked second in the OHL goaltender standings and was even selected for the 2004 Champions Hockey League (CHL) Top Prospects Game.
He won a bronze medal with Team Ontario at the 2003 Under-17 Canada Games.
Professional Development
Hurricane Caroline
Justin Peters began his professional career in 2004 with the Caroline Hurricanes.
It was a dream come true for Justin, who had always wanted to play in the NHL, but it only lasted a short time. Finally, Justin was assigned to the Hurricanes’ AHL affiliate, the Albany River Rats.
Despite being drafted in the NHL entry draft, Justin began his professional career in 2006-07 with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League (AHL).
It was a huge disappointment for Justin, which could explain why he struggled in the league. To make matters worse, in 2007-08, Justin was demoted to the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
Based on his performance, he has later promoted to River acts for the 2008-09 season. Justin was once again giving his all while playing for the Albany River Rats.
But, after six years, Justin was able to return to the position he truly deserved. Justin was called up by the Caroline Hurricanes in 2010 as a replacement for an injured player.

Justin played for the Caroline Hurricanes for eight seasons, and when his contract with Caroline expired, he considered switching to a new team rather than renewing it.

On July 1, 2015, Peters signed a two-year contract with the Washington Capitals. He appeared in 12 games for the Washington Capitals, winning three of them. He made 259 saves.

On July 1, 2016, Justin signed a new contract with the Arizona Coyotes. He began his career with the Tucson Roadrunners, the Coyotes’ AHL affiliate.

International Competes in the 2014 World Championship
Justin Peters has been named to Canada’s roster for the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
