Truly Young is a celebrity child who is best known for being the daughter of Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Romelle Young. Her father is a well-known rapper, record producer, and businessman.
Truly is hip hop royalty as the daughter of legendary music producer Dr. Dre and his wife, Nicole Young. She, too, is a musician and is one of Dre’s most well-known relatives. She frequently dazzles on Instagram and appears to be a rising celebrity in her own right.
Truly appears to be on the verge of becoming a breakout celebrity on any given day. So, from now on, get to know her, her life as the celebrity child of super-rich and renowned parents, and read all about her personal and professional endeavors.
What is the origin of the name Truly Young?
Truly was born in California on August 8, 2001. She mentioned in an interview that her renowned father offered her the name “Truly,” which the CEO of Aftermaths Entertainment thought was lovely.
Theodore Young, her paternal grandfather, was the owner of an amateur R&B group.
Studies At A Prestigious University For Truly Young People
Truly Young, a Gen-Z celebrity child, is a University of Southern California student. She was accepted into USC’s prestigious School of Cinematic Arts in May 2019. With her father, Dr. Dre, she is truly young.
Nicole Young, Dr. Dre’s ex-daughter, wife’s is a student at the University of Southern California. Her father, Dr. Dre, caused quite a stir the year she was accepted into the university. “All on her own,” Truly’s father captioned a photo of his daughter being admitted to the University. “There will be no jail time!!!”
The Beats Electronics creator was referring to Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, who were arrested by police in March 2019 for allegedly paying bribes to get their daughters into college. However, following rumors claimed that Dr. Dre, along with fellow music mogul Jimmy Iovine, had given the institution $70 million in 2013.
Later, Dre took down his post about Loughlin.
The Allegations were categorically denied
Truly, on the other hand, rejected the allegations, claiming that her famous father had been ‘pushing me to go to USC all along.’ In an interview, she confessed that her parents imposed a condition on her, stating that she must maintain decent grades or face financial hardship.
She isn’t getting any preferential treatment at USC, either. Andre was a “very, very severe parent” to Truly and her siblings, according to reports. He was also said to be present in every aspect of her life. Truly was homeschooled in high school by the ex-president of Death Row Records. During those times, she also received excellent grades.
Her Parents’ Relationship, Dr. Dre’s Relationship, and Nicole Young’s Relationship
Dr. Dre and Nicole, Truly’s parents, married on May 25, 1996. The Grammy-winning rapper’s mother was the first person he walked down the aisle with. Truly and her brother, Truice, were born to Dre and Nicole as a couple.
Dr. Dre and Nicole Young, the parents of Truly Young, were married in 1996 and divorced in December 2021. Nicole, Truly’s mother, who isn’t on social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, was formerly married to NBA player Sedale Threatt.
Truly’s mother Nicole filed for divorce from the music entrepreneur after 24 years of marriage in June 2020, according to the Blast. Soon after, the divorce became tumultuous, with Dre accusing Nicole of stealing company funds and Nicole accusing the rapper of infidelity.
Dr. Dre agreed to pay his ex-wife Nicola Young $100 million in their divorce settlement in December 2021.
Truly Young was enraged when 50 Cent attacked her mother
Truly ripped 50 Cent to shreds on social media in September 2020 after he made a remark about her parents’ divorce. Curtis James Jackson III had shared a screenshot of an article concerning Nicole’s request for $2 million per month in child support during their divorce.
Truly reacted angrily when rapper 50 Cent made disparaging remarks about her parents’ divorce. Truly Young, Dr. Dre’s daughter, retaliated against rapper 50 Cent for calling her mother a b**ch.
“These bitches be nuts, how do you even want for 2 million a month?” wrote 50, mocking Nicole.
Truly from the other end, in response to the In da Club singer’s remark regarding her mother, wrote,
“The blatant misogyny and disdain displayed by uninformed males is utterly fucking horrible and vile.” It’s terrible to call my mother, my father’s wife, a bitch.”
She also stated that 50 cent’s remark regarding her parents’ divorce was more about his marketing techniques, which she labeled as “low-life and filthy.”
Later, 50 Cent responded with a quick “LOL” and didn’t go any farther.
She is the youngest of six siblings
Truly is Dre’s youngest of eight children. Truice, her brother, has already been mentioned. He was born in the year 1997. Truly has four half-siblings, all from her father’s past relationships with other women, in addition to her biological brother.
Her other half-brother, Andre Young, who died in 2008, is also worth mentioning. According to People, Andre died in 2008 at the age of 20 from an accidental overdose.
Who Exactly Are Young Siblings?
Curtis, La Tanya, and her two lesser-known sisters, as well as Marcel, are the only living step-siblings. Curtis is Dr. Dre’s first child, whom he had with then-girlfriend Cassandra Joy Greene while he was barely a teenager.
In 1983, he had La Tanya with Lisa Johnson, another girlfriend. The Mechanic had two more daughters with Johnson, in addition to La Tanya. In 1988, the Brickhards had a son, Andre Young, with Jenita Porter, and in 1991, they had another son, Marcel, with Michelle Toussaint.
She’s also a performer. Truly Young, like her father, works in the music industry. Her ability to combine her delicate falsetto with genuine emotion is quite remarkable. Dr. Dre’s eighth child had her own hit track, Lover Boy, in 2018.
She cited Nirvana, Lana Del Rey, and The Cure as her major influences in an interview with Vogue in 2018. In an interview with the magazine, she stated that as an artist, she hopes to be able to inspire young people to defy traditional norms.
When she was 13 years old, she trained herself to play the guitar. With Vogue in 2017, the truth was finally revealed.
“My parents volunteered to teach me, but I was determined to learn on my own.”
She, like her father, transformed one of her songs, LoverBoy, into a short film that she produced herself.
Truly, in addition to music, appears to be interested in visual art, notably painting. Her Instagram feed is brimming with her artistic endeavors.
In Los Angeles, Truly has her own apartment.
How much money does Truly have?
Given her young age and current musical period, it is still too early to begin analyzing or even discussing Truly’s net worth. And it would be unfair to compare her financial successes to anyone even even close to her father, who has a staggering net worth of over $800 million.
Truly Young’s superproducer father is still getting paid from his landmark Apple agreement, as well as royalties from his huge back catalog. Not to mention that he has owned a large network of glamorous LA mansions for decades, as well as several residences priced in the seven figures across the country.
However, none of his children, including Truly, have yet to join the two comma club. Despite this, she can agree that her money troubles shouldn’t be a major concern for her given her father’s near-billion-dollar inheritance.
True to his age, Truly Young has a boyfriend. Truly, Nicole and Dre’s youngest child, has shared some Instagram photos with her boyfriend, Aidan Korte. He’s been compared to Eminem by certain fans.
Truly hasn’t spoken much about her beau except that he’s from Texas. The couple allegedly began dating in the fall of 2018 – she posted a photo of him on Instagram in October of that year (the first time).
And, while she didn’t immediately identify to him as her boyfriend, the red heart in the description made it clear that he was someone dear to her. Since then, the young woman has been posting images of herself and her supposed partner on all of her social media platforms on a regular basis.
In September 2021, she last posted a photo of him.
