Eddie Mair’s Biography and Career: Eddie Mair was born on November 12, 1965, in Dundee, Scotland, to Scottish parents. His father was a truck driver, and his mother worked as a nurse for many years.

Eddie Mair’s career high came when he was hired as a sub-editor for Radio Scotland after joining the BBC in 1987. He later went on to host Good Morning Scotland and Eddie Mair Live for Radio Scotland.
Mair also hosted the Sunday current affairs show Broadcasting House from its inception in April 1998 until 2003. Following that, he took over as host of PM, BBC Radio 4’s long-running evening news and current affairs programme. He also hosts the BBC’s current affairs show Newsnight, for which British broadcaster Jeremy Paxman is well-known.
Eddie announced his departure from the BBC network at the beginning of July 2018, presenting his final PM show on August 17, 2018. The following day, he was announced as a member of LBC, a London-based radio station. In September 2018, he will host his first show for the network. He’ll be joined there by British reporter Shelagh Fogarty.
Eddie Mair Has Joined LBC!
Eddie was spotted making the statement on his first photo shoot at LBC recently, after announcing his move from BBC to LBC at the beginning of July.
According to a radiotimes.com report published on July 24, 2018, the charismatic reporter requested make-up for the photo shoot with LBC that took place the day before. The event occurred when the BBC announced his departure from PM and LBC was about to announce Eddie as their new member.
Mair arrived at the LBC building in a massive car sent by the office to pick him up from his house. After a quick and efficient photo shoot, he signed the contract with the network, making it official.
Mair’s Media Awards: As the host of The Mair Interview, Mair has had the opportunity to share the highs and lows of many celebrities and personalities who have suffered from serious illness.
Continuing his famous show, Eddie was seen sharing his experience with Radio 4 presenter Steve Hewlett, who was diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer in early 2016. In the interview, Steve described how the disease caused a fatal health problem, including an unusual weight loss. He also discussed his journey from diagnosis to treatment.
Mair received the News Journalist award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards in 2005 for his hard work and dedication to the media. In addition, in 2012, he received a Gold Award for his interview with Julie Nicholson, who lost her daughter in the 2005 London bombings.
Relationship Status: Single?
Eddie Mair is a media personality who has no qualms about revealing his sexual orientation in public. Mair has announced his compelling bond with BBC journalist Paul Kerley, in addition to openly living as a gay person.
Paul works as a BBC online journalist in Harrow, North West London. Eddie met his partner at a BBC annual function. Soon after, the couple clicked and began living together as a resounding pair.
Because Mair has already stated his sexual orientation, rumors about his possible wife or divorce are irrelevant. He is in a good place with his same-gender partner and is probably thinking about marrying him soon.
