Devin Miles Haney is an American professional boxer who, according to The Ring magazine, is the world’s third-best active lightweight in July 2020. He is also one of the all-time youngest boxing world champions. He was the sport’s youngest world champion after rising from the position of interim champion in 2019.
Devin was born in San Francisco, California, on November 17, 1998. He will celebrate his 23rd birthday on November 17, 2021, when he will be 22 years old. When Haney was seven years old, he and his father moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He has a younger brother and sister as well.

Career
Devin Haney began his professional career at the age of 16, but due to minimum age restrictions, he was unable to compete in the United States. As a result, he fought in Mexico for his first four fights. As a professional, he won the WBC Youth, IBF-USBA, IBF North American, WBC International, WBO Inter-Continental, and WBA International lightweight titles, among others.
On February 2, 2018, Devin Haney competed in an eight-round first round against Filipino Harmonito Dela Torre. However, the Filipino fighter was unable to obtain his visa and thus withdrew from the fight. The fight was called off because the organizers were unable to find a replacement.
As part of his own organization, Devin Haney Promotions, Devin Haney signed a co-promotional agreement with British promoter Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in April 2019. Devin Haney defeated Zaur Abdulaev to win the WBC interim lightweight title in January 2019. (11-0).
