She starred in Edmond Rostand’s romance novel-drama “Cyrano De Bergerac” from 1975. She starred alongside Nits, Henk Hofstede, Rob Kloet, and others in the Dutch TV series Het Uur Van De Wolf in 1995.
Rather than her professional accomplishments, she is best known for being the wife of Rutger Hauer, a Dutch actor, writer, and environmentalist.

On November 22nd, 1985, Ineke Ten Kate married her spouse, Rutger Hauer. Rutger Hauer died on July 24, 2019, after 33 years of marriage. Ineke Ten Kate is currently a widowed woman.

Hauer previously married Heidi Merz, a Swiss pianist, with whom he had a daughter, actress Ayesha Hauer, who was born in Basel, Switzerland, in 1996. After a short time, the couple divorced. In January 1980, Hauer had a run-in with Persis Khambatta. Khambatta was an Indian model who died on August 18, 1998, at the age of 47, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India.

Rutger Hauer, Ineke Ten Kate’s Husband, Died
Rutger Hauer was born on January 23, 1944, in Breukelen, Netherlands. Rutger Oelsen Hauer is his complete name, and his beautiful moniker is The Dutch Paul Newman.
According to the BBC, the actor died on Friday, July 19th, at his home in the Netherlands, following a brief illness. On Wednesday, July 24th, his body was laid to rest. In 1971, he was interested in social matters as an ardent supporter of the environmental organization Greenpeace.
He was also the founder of the Starfish Association, an AIDS awareness non-profit. Hauer is survived by his fifty-year-old second wife, Ineke, and a daughter, Aysha Hauer.
