On March 24, 1965, Mark William Calaway, better known as The Undertaker, was born in Houston, Texas. His parents are Betty Catherine Truby (mother) and Frank Compton Calaway (mother).

Mark has four older brothers and was raised with his siblings. Sadly, his father and one of his siblings are no longer with us, but he still has three brothers and his mother.

The WWE legend enjoyed playing and having a great time with his siblings during their formative years. In addition, Mark’s parents gave him the finest upbringing they could and even supported him in following his aspirations.

In Texas, he majored in sports management, and for one season, he even played for the Rams. However, Mark left college in 1986 to pursue a basketball career. He had no idea, however, that destiny had other plans for him, and that instead of becoming a basketball player, he would become the greatest WWE wrestler of all time.

Mark made his WWE debut on November 22, 1990, using the alias The Undertaker. His death-themed gimmick was well accepted by the audience. Similarly, The Undertaker would carry the defeated opponent’s lifeless body backstage after the match.

This gothic-themed character made the WWE more entertaining and enhanced audience interest in the company. He participated in his first Royal Rumble in 1991, which the illustrious Hulk Hogan won.

When WWE was still known as the WWF, Mark defeated Hulk Hogan in 1991, and he went on to win his first WWF Championship at Survivor Series. He became the youngest WWF Champion in WWF/WWE history as a result of his triumph. But in 1993, Yokozuna broke that record by becoming the WWF champion at a young age.

After losing a match to Yokozuna in 1994, Mark was gone for several months from the WWE after being placed into the casket by the latter. Due to the narrative lacking the WWE legend, many fans believed that the period had come to an end.

However, his injury was the real cause of his seven-month absence. When Mark had an injury, WWE gave him time off to recover.

It was referred to as the Original Deadman Era from 1994 to 1994. He also participated in the Lord of Darkness and Ministry of Darkness gimmick, or simply the gothic theme, from 1996 to 1999.

The WWE superstar made a seven-month hiatus before returning as the American Badass. Before the release of American Badass, his persona was perceived as having a frightening personality.

Every day, the WWE legend would arrive in style on a Harley Davidson. The most talked-about incident involved his conflict with The Rock and Stone Cold. Mark played him for three years as an American Badass before resuming his role as The Undertaker.

The event that truly shocked everyone, though, was Wrestlemania 33. Every spectator expected Undertaker to defeat Roman Reigns and extend his unbeaten run to 22-0. The longest streak in WWE history ended as Roman Reigns was defeated after five spears. The entire audience then fell silent out of shock for the first time in WWE history. The run came to an end with this.

Many people believed that The WrestleMania icon would retire after the match because he left his gloves and coat in the ring, but he persisted. However, Roman Reigns turned into a universally despised villain, and everyone began to condemn him.

The only Wrestlemania Mark missed out on during his nineteen-year tenure was Wrestlemania 35.
