Issa Rae, who has always kept her personal life private, stunned Louis Diame, her long-term lover, by marrying him in an unexpected fashion.
On Instagram, the co-creator and star of HBO’s Insecure teased the news by posting a series of stunning bridal photos in a gorgeous custom Vera Wang Haute gown, describing it as a “impromptu photoshoot.” The renowned Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat hosted the event.

The couple’s relationship is unknown, but Rae’s brother, Lamine Diop, revealed the couple’s link to Us Weekly just days after the couple’s engagement was formally confirmed.
Rae and Diame had “been dating forever,” according to him, and had attended multiple family gatherings together. He also said that the engagement took place over the holidays that year.
