American sportscaster Suzyn Waldman began her career as a singer and actor. She became well-known for her portrayal of Dulcinea in the well-liked Broadway production of Man of La Mancha.

After she and John Sterling joined WCBS radio in 2005, she began to receive attention in the broadcasting industry. She worked in it as a color analyst on Yankees radio broadcasts. Later, she became just the third female color commentator in baseball history.

She also has a brother named Richard who works as the principal of a middle school.

She enrolled at Simmons College and eventually earned an economics degree there.

In the late 1970s, Suzyn Waldman was married. In 1978, she exchanged wedding vows with the Temple Israel member’s son.

However, their relationship didn’t continue long, and after 11 years of marriage, they got divorced. In 1990, the divorce was legally finalized.

Her Career In Broadcasting

Suzyn Waldman used to be a major fan of the Boston Red Sox, an American professional baseball team. She had even purchased season tickets.

She exploited the attention she received as an actress and as an emerging star to launch a broadcasting career.

After she was hired by the newly founded radio station WFAN in 1987, her passion was realized. She used to co-host the weekday midday sports talk show on WFAN, report on a radio show, and cover baseball games for the New York Yankees and New York Knicks.

She then joined WCBS radio and formed friendly co-host ties with John Sterling, a different American sportscaster. They have been cooperating since 2005, and during the 2015 Major League Baseball (MLB) season, they celebrated 11 years of mutual employment.

Additionally, as of January 2, 2020, it is official that John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman will return to the Yankees Radio Booth for the 2020 MLB season.
