Luis Severino’s wife Has Given Birth to a Daughter
There’s no way of knowing when or where the couple exchanged wedding vows. But, as a result of their connection, they had a beautiful daughter named Abigail, who was born in July of 2015. The two are cohabiting in an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

On December 26, 2011, Severino agreed to a $225,000 signing bonus with the New York Yankees as an international free agent. Similarly, he agreed to sign with the Colorado Rockies, but a scout for the New York Yankees matched their offer and persuaded him to join the organization. At the time, he could throw his fastball at 91 mph (146 km/h).
In late 2011, he made his professional debut for the Yankees 1 of the Dominican Summer League (DSL). Severino started 14 games with a 4–2 record, a 1.68 earned run average (ERA), and 45 strikeouts in 64 1/3 innings.
During the 2013 season, he was promoted to the Charleston RiverDogs of the Class A South Atlantic League from the DSL Yankees 1. Severino, meanwhile, went 4–2 with a 2.45 ERA in 10 games, striking out 53 batters in 44 innings (eight starts). At one point during the tournament, he hit 97 mph (156 km/h) in Charleston.

In the 2014 season, he was the Yankees’ ninth-best prospect. He started the season with Charleston before being promoted to the Class A-Advanced Florida State League’s Tampa Yankees.
After being promoted to Tampa, Severino was picked to play in the 2014 All-Star Futures Game in July. Following the Futures Game, he was promoted to the Trenton Thunder of the Class AA Eastern League.
In 24 games (all starts), Severino finished 6–5 with a 2.46 ERA, 127 strikeouts, and 27 walks in 113 innings pitched combined between the three teams.

On February 15, 2019, Severino agreed to a four-year, $40 million contract extension. A club option for a fifth season worth an additional $12.25 million was included in the deal. Severino was diagnosed with rotator cuff irritation in his right shoulder on March 15, according to him.
He was out of commission for the entire month of April. He was diagnosed with a Grade 2 lat strain once more, putting him out for another six weeks.
