Rhys Matthew was born in Hampstead, London, England, on June 11, 1998. He has a younger sister named Zoe and is the son of Neil Bond and Tirana Bond.
He and his family relocated to British Columbia, Canada, when he was ten years old. He majored in acting at a fine arts college there.

Rhys In 2014, Matthew Bond made his acting debut as Jason in the children’s horror television series R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour. The character of Obnoxious High Schooler in the TV movie The Unauthorized by the Bell Story came after his second acting experience that same year. Then, in 2015, he played Cameron Olson in the TV series Ties the Bind on a regular basis. Ten episodes of the show featured his performance.
His big break came when he was chosen to play Nick Radford, one of the main characters, in the Hallmark Channel original series Good Witch.
Rhys later portrayed Teenage James in the TV drama Love at First Glance and Jack in the movie Deadly Exchange, both released in 2017.
Similarly, from 2017 to 2018, he was cast as Dylan Westfield, a significant character, in eight episodes of the TV series Heartland. Between the first and sixth seasons, he appeared in 51 episodes of the program.
