An American personality named Mike Yung rose to fame and received high praise after his cover of the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” went viral in 2016. In a short period of time, his video even passed the historic one million views milestone.
He then performed on the stage of the well-known American program America’s Got Talent (AGT). Fortunately, he advanced to the semifinals of America’s Got Talent season 12 before being eliminated.
Nevertheless, he gave America’s Got Talent: The Champions 2 another go but was once more ousted in the preliminary rounds.
He used to sing all kinds of songs in the subways before entering America’s Got Talent.
Mike Yung: Early Life, Age, Wiki, Parents, Ethnicity
Michael Young, sometimes known as Mike Yung, was born in the United States on November 15, 1959. His zodiac sign at birth is Scorpio.
His parents reared him in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City, and he has a tight relationship with all of his relatives. He lacked the resources to meet their requirements, though.
In August 2017, as a result of his declining financial situation, he was forced to turn to Go Fund Me to prevent the sale of his family’s home.
Lydia, Mike Yung’s longtime partner, was originally his wife. They were even blessed with children, which blessed their marriage.
Sadly, in 2018, it was revealed that his wife Lydia had passed away.
His Path To Fame, Career & Now
Since he was a young child, Mike Yung has enjoyed singing. When he was a teenager, he sang in several locations. Later, RCA and CBS recognized his skill and signed him. This got him signed to the successful T-Electric label.
T-Electric, however, went bankrupt, and his opportunity to release his debut record was lost. After that incident, he discovered singing in the subways and at 23rd and Sixth Avenue as a new method to support his family.
He performed the same dance for more than 37 years before a video of him was taken, published on YouTube, and quickly became popular.
He released the song “Alright” as a music video on January 12, 2018. Later, on March 2, 2018, he successfully raised $90,000 by requesting financial assistance for his forthcoming endeavor. On July 28, 2018, he even embarked on a tour called the Never Give Up Tour.
He had hoped to re-release his initial record after gaining some notoriety, but after losing Lydia as a life partner, he lost all hope.
However, he used the drive provided by her passing to work with Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix and release the song, Dreamer. On November 1st, 2018, the song was released, and Mike even paid tribute to his late wife in it.
He is now getting ready to release I Will Never Give Up, his debut album, in 2020.
