Professional Career
When David Carmo was very young, he began playing football. After playing for many club academies, including those of Beira-Mar, Casa do Benfica Estarreja, Benfica, Anadia, and Sanjoanense, he joined the Braga junior system in 2015. At the moment, he was 16 years old. He advanced through the youth of Braga. He played for the team’s reserves in August 2018 and earned his LigaPro debut as a senior. He made his professional debut against Estoril. He made 27 appearances in the 2018–19 campaign, which resulted in the club’s relegation. He was initially called up to the starting lineup in May 2019.
