Cynthia Loyst, a relationship specialist from Canada and the host of The Social, discusses her nearly 20-year-old love affair. The mother of an eight-year-old son explains the secret to her and her husband Jason’s long-lasting happiness.
How Did Her Lovestory Begin?
Cynthia Loyst the television anchor opened up in an interview about her relationship with her longtime partner Jason. When they both attended York University and were in the same department, they frequently ran into one another.
None of them ever spoke to one another, even after they graduated. But in a strange turn of events, Loyst and Jason reconnected during the making of a music video years after they had graduated.
Years later, upon college, “Jason was employed as the director of photography, and I was engaged by a mutual acquaintance to belly dance in a music video,” she recalled.
They eventually started chatting at a party and gave each other their phone numbers. At a restaurant along Bloor and Bathurst streets, they later embarked on their first date.
In order to determine whether Jason was worthy of her attention, Loyst, who was unmarried at the time, had some questions prepared for him. But she was immediately impressed by Jason’s response, and the rest is history.
Dating Turned Into Wedding
As their bond grew over time, Jason and Loyst acquired a home and started sharing it. The timing of their relationship wasn’t ideal, but Jason had previously planned a surprise marriage proposal.
Jason once took Loyst out to dinner and presented her with a wedding ring as a surprise. She described the proposal moment in a like way.
When I returned from using the restroom and noticed a small box on the table, I immediately understood. I, therefore, asked, “Are you sure you want to do this? I’ve been so bad recently.” Thank goodness, he did.
Jason surprised her with the wedding ring there, and they later exchanged vows. Additionally, Loyst indicated in one of her Twitter posts that she and Jason were not legally married and that her buddy had conducted their union.
In addition to their relationship, the two also have a son together named Jaya, who will turn eight on May 1st, 2021.
Additionally, the TV show host revealed her relationship secret by saying,
We offer each other a lot of room and freedom to be ourselves. I appreciate that a lot. We occasionally had difficult chats and still do.
A Look Into Her Family and Career
The Canadian television host, who was born on October 10, 1978, has a tight relationship with her family. Loyst was raised alongside her older sister, a graphic artist, in a Christian home.
Loyst, who has always been interested in the arts, enrolled at York University to further her fine arts education. She followed a career in radio and television after college, making appearances on programs including The Marilyn Denis Show, CTV NewsNet, ETalk, TVOntario, Proud FM, etc.
The role of Loyst, a sex educator and the author of the book Find Your Pleasure, on CTV’s The Social with hosts Lainey Lui, Melissa Grelo, and Traci Melchor is currently her most well-known one.
