Charlie Schlatter’s acting career began in high school when he attended an audition for the production of Oliver, in which he was cast as Oliver Twist. Later in college, he appeared in many plays and gradually honed his musical abilities, mastering the guitar, drums, and piano in addition to songwriting. Charlie’s life changed dramatically in 1987 when a casting director noticed him and urged him to try out for the part in Bright Lights, Big City.
He portrayed Johnny Wole in the movie Heartbreak Hotel a year later. In a short amount of time, he demonstrated his exceptional acting talent and won the attention of critics.
Additionally, Charlie had his television debut in 1990 playing the part of Ferris Bueller in the American sitcom “Ferris Bueller.” He soon started making appearances in 116 different films and TV episodes. The Loud House, Diagnosis Murder, White Rush, Pet Alien, Mystery Woman: At First Sight, Southland, NCIS, and Mystery Woman: At First Sight are just a few of his productions.
In addition to performing, Charlie has worked as a voice actor, lending their voice to several animated characters. His first project as a voice actor was Hoggish Greedly, Jr. in Captain Planet and the Planeteers. He provided the voice of Wally West/The Flash in Superman: The Animated Series, as well as Chip in Tom and Jerry’s The Magic Ring, Cameron in Bratz, Tack/Plumber in Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, and The Flash in Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts during the next two decades.
