Career

He finished second in the downhill in Kitzbuehel, third in the city event in Munich, and third in the super-G in Hinterstoder. He began the World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with a super-G that was comparable to Bode’s. He ended in 12th place after losing his balance at the bottom, slowing down, then standing up. After having knee surgery in the spring of 2012, Miller made the decision not to rush to return to the slopes for his fifth Olympic appearance in 2014.
