Aris Hampers began his career as a radio performer at WVIC-FM in 1971, where he stayed for one year. He joined WLAV-FM in 1973 and stayed until 1981. In 1981, he was hired as Music Director at WFFX-FM. He was the Music Director at WFFX-FM for a year. Aris Hampers later worked for WCUZ-FM from 1982 to 1984. He had always wanted to work for one of the radio stations. As a result, he returned to WLAV-FM in 1984 as Music Director, where he stayed until 1990.
He spent the next eight years, from 1990 to 1998, at WKLQ-FM. He previously stated that his seven-year stint at WBFX-FM from 2000 to 2007 was his best. From 2008 to 2009, Aris was employed at WMAX-FM (‘Radio X’). He quit his job as a radio DJ to pursue other opportunities.
