In late 2002, Amber, a single mother of a 20-month-old daughter named Ayianna, was living a modest life in California. She then met Scott Peterson via Shawn Sibley, her closest friend. She immediately began dating Scott because she was enchanted by his attractiveness and compassion.
After dating him for six weeks, Amber learned that he was married and that his wife, Laci, was missing at the time.
Being dumbfounded and inconsolable, Amber felt awful for Laci and her unborn child and made sure Scott, if he had been involved in the murder, was held accountable for the crime.
Amber tried to find comfort in a couple of other relationships after getting over her heartbreaks, but they did not work out. She began dating Dr. David Markovich in early 2003, and the two eventually gave birth to Justin Markovich.
Later, on July 5, 2008, she married Robert Hernandez, a member of the police force. However, her marriage ended when the two filed for divorce in 2008.

Amber continues to work as a massage therapist now while also raising her two children, touring the world, and helping out at her church.
After having some bad luck in her previous relationships, Amber eventually met her “soul mate.” On Facebook, she proudly displays photos of her current beau.
