Cirroc Lofton shot to fame after portraying Jake Sisko, Ben Sisko’s son, in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Lofton started portrayed the position when he was fourteen years old in 1993, and he was 21 years old when the show finished in 1999.
Cirroc Lofton appeared in 173 of the 176 episodes over the course of the show’s seven-year run. Lofton kept acting after the show ended until 2008, when he abruptly took a nearly decade-long sabbatical from it. However, even during that period, the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actor did not rest as he dabbled in other fields, most notably the restaurant industry.
After taking a break from acting, Cirroc Lofton launched Cafe Cirroc.
Cirroc Lofton discussed what he has been up to after taking a break from acting for the first time in a 2010 interview with Startrek. He discussed his Culver City, near Playa Del Ray, restaurant, Cafe Cirroc. He went on to describe the menu at the cafe:
Gelato, or Italian ice cream, is on the menu. Sandwiches are on the menu. We serve croissants as well as freshly brewed coffee, espresso, and cappuccinos. We also have a really cute wine bar right next door. So you can come in, have a drink of wine, and listen to live music or sing along to karaoke. We take care of everything.
Cafe Ciccoc extended its business in 2014, replacing another eatery called Bistro Laurent, which had abruptly closed. The latter was forced to shut down after failing to meet its goal of resuming former levels of success. During that time, Cafe Cirroc became a hookah bar and cafe.
According to Yelp.com, Lofton’s restaurant Cafe Ciccoc is currently closed. We were unable to discover the reasons for its closure.
Cirroc had intended to release a hip-hop album
Lofton revealed to Sci Fi Wire in 2005 that he was working on a rap album called Divine Intervention. The album’s music had been in the works for six or seven years (starting in 1998 or 1999), and he hoped to release it in September 2005 through Infinity World Entertainment.
The Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actor went on to say that one of the beats would be based on the original Star Trek theme song, but in a hip-hop style. Unfortunately, the album was never completed.
In a 2010 interview with Startrek, Lofton was asked about the CD he had been working on, and he responded, “I really finished that CD.” It’s currently being mixed and mastered, and I’m planning to release it in December.”
“I’ve just been extremely busy.” It’s been a roller coaster ride in my life. I’ve found someone truly unique with whom I’ve decided to spend the rest of my life, and we’ve developed a strong bond. As a result, I’ve decided to be married. She’s been essential in helping me relax and focus in a variety of ways. My music is now complete. I’m opening a restaurant that will also serve as a venue for me to perform live music. He continued, “I’m going to keep moving forward and doing the things I love: acting, writing scripts, music, operating the restaurant, meeting people, entertaining, having fun, and also playing basketball.”

Cirroc Lofton made his acting debut in Beethoven, a 1992 comedic film about a dog. He appeared in the film as a skateboarder in a tiny role and went on to star in The Magic Paintbrush the following year.
Simultaneously, he landed his first big break in 1993 when he was cast as Jake Sisko in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a role he held until the show’s conclusion. Lofton moved on to The Hoop Life once the Star Trek series concluded (1999-2000).
He appeared in films such as Soul Food (2001), CSI: Miami (2006), I’m Through with White Girls (2007), and Ball Don’t Lie throughout the next few years (2008). Lofton took a sabbatical from acting after working on Ball Don’t Lie and was out of the industry for over ten years.
In 2017, he returned from his absence to reprise his role as Jacob in Star Trek: Renegades. He’s been in All American (2018), The 7th Rule (2019-2020), Days of Our Lives (2020), and Alone Together: A DS9 Companion since his comeback (2020).

Cirroc Lofton began acting at an early age and was cast in a popular series such as Star Trek: Deep Space Nine when he was just 14 years old. He had a successful early acting career, and even when he took a vacation from acting, he opened Cafe Cirroc.
He is currently the editor-in-chief of Federation News Service, in addition to performing and launching the restaurant, according to Zednet. While the exact amount of money he is worth is unknown, the Star Trek actor should be in good financial shape.
