He remarked Q magazine,
“I cancelled that trip, because she got to a stage — this is so hard for me to even speak the words – but she was having suicide thoughts. That was as awful as it got.”
Flowers also revealed that the duo had been through a “horrible” time. The musician also dedicated the song “Some Kind of Love,” to his wife.
He told Rolling Stone,
“Over the last five years, it has become a huge part of our existence. The finale of the song is me and my boys singing, ‘I can’t do this alone/We need you at home/There’s so much to see/And we know that you’re strong.’ It’s incredibly emotional. I played that for her, and she just sobbed. But I’m proud of that one.”
