After scoring two hits as a kid actor in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)” and “The Goonies (1985),” Jonathan Ke Quan has mostly gone unnoticed.
Jonathan Ke Quan has retained a low public profile. But where is this man these days? What is he up to? Many people are concerned about what has been keeping him busy. Even if it is his choice to stay away from the industry, it is difficult to conceive such a talented man away from it. Here’s a tiny attempt to learn more about his current situation.
Jonathan Ke Quan’s Film Career:
Jonathan began as a child actor at the age of 12, and his journey to Hollywood is an intriguing one. His brother was the one who conducted the auditions for the film “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.”
Jonathan was simply accompanying his brother to the audition, but the casting crew noticed him and chose him for the role of Short Round instead. That’s how he landed the part in the film. His first film, released in 1984, was a big hit, earning him a Young Artist Award. He was ranked 67th on VH1’s list of the “100 Greatest Kid Stars” (2005).
What became of him after Indiana Jones?
In 1985, he had another chance to collaborate with producer Mr. Steven Spielberg on the film “The Goonies.” He got to play the part of the gadget-obsessed kid with a sense of adventure. With that role, he left such an indelible imprint on the hearts of the audiences that people still talk about it now.
In the Taiwanese film “It Takes A Thief,” he played a pickpocket orphan in 1986. He appeared in the Japanese film “Passengers” in 1987. He appeared in the television series “Together We Stand” from 1986 to 1987. From 1989 until 1991, he appeared in “Head Of The Class.” He has also appeared in other shows and films. His most recent on-screen appearance was in the 2002 Hong Kong film “Second Time Around.”
Quan kept his hands busy in the industry by taking on a range of responsibilities, editing short films, and undertaking cinematography.
He even relocated to Australia in 1995 to seek a solo singing career.
Jonathan Ke Quan is also a stunt choreographer for the film “X-Men.” He worked as a stunt choreographer for the film “X-Men” when his playing career was not in full bloom, or when he couldn’t deliver other hits from his other movies. He also aided Corey Yuen, a Hong Kong combat choreographer. He acquired Taekwondo from Philip Tan on the filming of “Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom.”
Later on, he was also trained by Tao-Liang Tan. So it can be said that he is busy working off the screen, which has resulted in him having a net worth of $1 million.
Is he married, and if so, is he gay?
Because there isn’t much information about his personal life as a wife or girlfriend, some assumed he was gay. But he’s not gay. It’s unclear whether he’s married or not because whosdatedwho.com says he’s single yet Wikipedia says he’s married. According to the information on Wiki, he is married to Corrina.
Quan, Jonathan Now!
He disappeared from the spotlight and social media platforms after working as a stunt choreographer in the X-Men (2000) and Jet Li sci-fi film The One (2001). As a result, his loyal admirers are left in the dark.
Nonetheless, the rare opportunity to see him had engulfed him, as he made a rare visit at Knoxville ComicCon from June 23-25, 2017. On April 225, 2017, the announcement was made via a Facebook post.
