Towanda Braxton was born on September 18, 1973 in Severn, Maryland, USA to Michael and Evelyn Braxton.
The 45-year-old actress was raised in a family of four siblings and stands 5 feet 3 inches (1.6m) tall. Toni, Tamar, Traci, and Trina Braxton, her four sisters, were all singers from the beginning.
Towanda had a strong preference for acting over singing as a child. Towanda’s interest in singing grew as she grew older, following in the footsteps of her sisters.
