Hate Comments for Wolfgang Van Halen
In August of 2020, Wolfgang casually tweeted that he had just done doing “adult” tasks like sweeping the living room and cleaning the couch cushions. While the bulk of the comments was amusing, one angry individual voiced his displeasure with his apparent privilege.
Wolfgang retweeted that if they were going to criticize him, they should at the very least use appropriate grammar. The message continued, claiming that jokes and accusations about nepotism and body weight, as well as living in the shadow of his late father, are a waste of time. He joked that his critics could be more imaginative towards the end of his tweet.
Wolfgang started getting fat-shaming comments when he first joined his father’s band in 2007. Around the same time, People ran an article about the sixteen-year-old artist and his family called “I Know Why I’m Fat,” in which Wolfgang was shown to struggle with portion control when on a diet.
His mother, Valerie Bertinelli (and Emmy Award-winning actor), had recently started a diet and had lost 10 pounds in three weeks, so she put Halen on the same regimen.

Wolfgang Van Halen Keeping Weight-Loss Track
While there is no official record of how much weight Wolfgang has dropped, it is thought that he follows a diet program based on his before and after images. The musician, who turns thirty on March 16, 2021, celebrated his birthday by eating little cakes with his new solo project’s emblem emblazoned on them.
He wrote on Instagram in August and September of last year about how much he appreciates his mother’s cuisine. Given the fact that Bertinelli is still on a diet, it’s safe to presume Wolfgang is as well.
