Tila Tequila, a 37-year-old socialite, was once the most followed person on all social media networks. Her journey to stardom as a reality star and everything that followed is an engrossing anthropological case study.
As much as Tila Tequila is admired for laying the groundwork for today’s online shabby stars, the former MTV reality star will be remembered for her unapologetic personality on the show, which was epitomized by Tila’s status as an openly lesbian public figure.
Although the Singaporean may never achieve such heights, she can take comfort in the fact that she and her husband have two kids to look forward to.
Her pregnancy announcement in March 2018 and the arrival of her second daughter, Anabella, six months later mark the beginning of a new chapter for the Surviving Nugent series.
Baby No. 2; Former Partner’s Daughter
Tila’s disclosure comes just a month after she and her husband got married.
Tila managed to kill two birds with one stone with her pregnancy announcement.
She not only clapped back at her “haters,” but she also stated that she and her unnamed spouse were expecting a child. The former reality star said on Facebook in March 2018:
“The Lord God has blessed me with baby #2!!!!! Praise the Father in Heaven for He is merciful and graceful! I give glory to Him every day.” Meanwhile, I find it hilarious how all the haters have been calling me ‘fat’ and telling me that God is going to punish me…”
“Of all people, Isabella – Tila’s first baby daughter – looked the happiest with the news,” the A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila actress claimed.
“Now Isabella will finally get to be a big sister! She is so, so excited and kisses my belly every day talking to her baby sibling! It is the sweetest thing ever!”
Not everyone is excited for Tila to become a mother for the second time. Thomas Whitaker, Tila’s previous partner, and Isabella’s biological father has accused the former MTV reality star of “child maltreatment.”
Tila issued a statement in response to her former partner’s charges, accusing him of being a jealous ex. An excerpt from her response reads as follows:
“Thomas is just jealous that I got married and recently had another beautiful baby girl with someone else.”
This wasn’t the first time Tila had gotten into a verbal brawl with one of her former business partners.
Accused of Profiting from the Death of a Lesbian Partner
Suffice it to say, Tia hasn’t had the best of success in love!
Some of her prior romances ended violently, including her brief romance with then-San Diego Linebacker Shawne Merriman in 2009. Tila sued Shawne for $1.5 million after she was hospitalized as a consequence of a violent altercation between the two.
A few weeks later, her ex-boyfriend countersued and received a $2 million default judgment. Tila was making headlines for a different cause throughout the ensuing legal struggle.
Her lesbian romance with Casey Johnson, heir to the Johnson & Johnson wealth, was causing quite a stir. The former lesbian lovers were engaged for a month before Casey’s unexpected death in January 2010 as a consequence of diabetic problems.
The 28-year-old Tila then rushed to Twitter to announce Casey’s death. As expected, a slew of individuals, including blogs and acquaintances close to Casey, chastised her for profiting from the murder of her dead partner.
Casey’s associate, Jasmine Lennard, slammed Tila in a tweet. It said:
“You NEVER even knew her. You enabled her death and prevented her getting the help she SO DESPERATELY needed for YOUR OWN selfish purposes.”
Gawker, an East Coast-based blog, went one better than Jasmine, calling Tila “the most desperate attention-starved slug that the Celebrity Industrial Complex has ever spat forth from its cogs.”
About nine years after Casey’s murder, the Welcome to the Dark Side singer repudiated her lesbian background, claiming that she just pretended to be one to enhance television ratings.
