He hired street artists, including musicians and entertainers, to join him as he walked toward Rosaldo.

Rosaldo was enjoying a lunch in a Mexican restaurant on the day her then-husband-to-be proposed to her. Soon after, she became aware of music being performed on a bagpipe.
She became aware at this point that a marching band had begun performing directly in front of her. After a stilt-walker approached Rosaldo and amused her, the show became more engaging. Later, a person dressed as a masked prince and riding a white horse approached Rosaldo, disguised as a masked prince.
The horseman removed his mask and knelt before her just as she was attempting to absorb what was happening in front of her. Rosaldo’s mystery man turned out to be her current husband, Derbez, who chose to propose to her in a theatrical fashion.
Derbez flashed a ring in front of her, and she burst into tears of ecstasy. Rosaldo, who appeared to be overcome with emotion, embraced Derbez tightly. After the riddle was solved, the couple, who appeared to be content in each other’s company, was applauded by the onlookers.
The artists began singing and playing music among the crowds around the lovers to add to the magic of the event. Rosaldo later rode away from the scene on horseback with Derbez. The entire proposal was captured on film and eventually broadcast on Mexican television.
According to Elcomercio, the pair married on July 7 of the same year at Mexico City’s Temple of Regina Coeli. After their wedding was televised in Mexico, fans were able to witness their favorite stars marry.
Outside 200 police officers were reportedly stationed around the fence to ensure the commune’s peace and quiet.

The couple had previously celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in 2021. To commemorate the occasion, Derbez shared a collage of their romantic moments together on his official Instagram account. In a heartfelt message, the actor praised his wife for “putting up” with him and described himself as “more of a toad than a prince.”
Rosaldo, meanwhile, used her social media account to make her feelings for her spouse known. She paid tribute to their married connection in her post, writing words of intimacy and referring to Derbez as her one and only. The pair currently has a daughter named Aitana. She is a seven-year-old girl.
The popular actor’s marriage to Rosaldo, however, is not his first. Derbez is the father of Jose Eduardo Derbez, who he shares with his ex-wife Victoria Ruffo. Eugenio is the father of four children by four different women. On March 18, 1986, he gave birth to his firstborn child, Aislinn Derbez, with previous partner Gabriela Michel.
He and his then-partner Silvana Prince welcomed their second son Vadhir Derbez on February 18, 1991.
