Reliable and dedicated personnel are required to bring such vital information to light. Sara Shookman, who has established herself as a model journalist, is filling the void of such needed manpower.
Sara Shookman: Bio, Parents
Sara was born on October 10, 1986. Her parents, Scott and Becky Shookman, raised her and her sister, Kimberly Shookman, in Akron.
Sadly, her father died in 2015 at the age of 59. She and her family used to travel to different places when her father was alive. Despite her father’s death, she remained strong and supported her family wholeheartedly.
In terms of education, she is a Manchester High School graduate. She also received a summa cum laude from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.

The blonde beauty, who stands 5 feet 9 inches (1.75m), has been married since September 2nd, 2017. Angelo DiFranco, a project manager for Valley View-based Harley Davidson Dealer Systems, is her husband. She met him in college, but they were only passing acquaintances at the time.
It took nearly a decade for her and Angelo to enjoy the benefits of dating. Interestingly, Angelo proposed to her in 2015 while giving a wedding speech at a mutual friend’s wedding. Sara blushed as she accepted Angelo’s invitation to a date. The date eventually became recurring and blossomed into a serious relationship.
Sara was then taken aback when her boyfriend proposed to her on a yacht during a Lake Erie sunset cruise. She said yes and married the love of her life in a nautical-themed wedding ceremony at Cleveland’s Historic Coast Guard Station on Whiskey Island.
She has been enjoying her married life with her partner ever since.
WKYC, Salary Sara worked hard to achieve her goal of becoming an associate producer for APS15 Community Television. She worked there for a short time before joining WKYC TV as an intern. She is now a full-time general assignment reporter, working alongside Betsy Kling.
She became one of Channel 3’s go-to storytellers, covering a variety of news bulletins, going beyond local news and delving into national and general announcements, and reporting for WKYC TV’s parent company, TENGA, across the country. Among the stories were the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, which became one of her career highlights.
Her tenacity and excellent journalism have earned her numerous honors, including five regional Emmys and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. Her average salary as a WKYC TV employee is estimated to be $47K.
She tried on a new look in 2018 with a new haircut. She chose a side split bob haircut after straightening her naturally curly hair.
