Net Worth & Career

Before becoming a radio personality, Russ had a recording career under the alias ‘Bobby Jimmy.’ He already had his own record label, Rapsur Records, by the mid-1980s. He released records by his band Bobby Jimmy and the Critters on the label.

Russ and his band had a few hits, including “One Glove,” a satirical song about Michael Jackson, “Roaches,” “We Like Ugly Women,” and their biggest hit, “Ugly Knuckle Butt,” which still gets airplay on shows like the Doctor Demento Show.

The band released three albums before falling into obscurity and eventually disbanding. Bobby Jimmy and the Critters were also credited on NWA’s debut album, NWA and the Pose, which was released in 1987.

Then, in 1996, Russ relocated to Washington, D.C. and accepted a position at Radio One’s 93.9 WKYS-FM. There, he launched the Russ Parr Morning Show with Olivia Foxx. By the spring of 1997, the show had risen to the top of the D.C. radio market.

Russ made his directorial debut in 2006 with the drama The Last Stand. In addition to the John Witherspoon roast, he directed the comedies 35 and Ticking, Love for Sale, and Something Like a Business. His next project is the upcoming comedy-drama The Under Shepherd.

As the host of the nationally syndicated morning show Russ Parr Morning Show, he was heard by more than 3.2 million listeners in 45 cities across the United States every weekday. In addition to his radio appearances, Russ co-hosted the TV One dating show Get The Hook-Up.

Russ has a net worth of around $4 million as a result of everything he has accomplished thus far.

Relationship Status: Single?

There should be no questions about his sexuality, and certainly no speculation about his being gay, because he is a married man who openly boasts about his beautiful family on his social media pages.

His three children, two sons, Braxton Parr and Pay Parr, and one daughter, Chandler Parr, are all grown-ups. Russ and his wife are undeniably proud parents. He brags about his children on the internet and never stops gushing about how fortunate he is to have them.

Russ Parr and his children, Braxton Parr, Pay Parr, and Chandler Parr, shared a photo on Instagram on June 19, 2017. Similarly, his children are grateful to have him as a mentor and family member.

In addition, he has recently become more involved in raising awareness about Digestive Care and colon cancer prevention and treatment. Using his own experience with colon cancer screening as an example, he admitted that-

I waited 9 years when I should have gone back after my doctor told me to come back after five years. I ended up with something that required additional surgery to remove. They were able to remove it, which was fortunate for me. Some people are not as fortunate.

For all that matters, he has recovered and is ready to wow his fans and followers once more.
