Have you ever had the strange desire to meet your dream partner, as seen in movies? To fall in love at first sight in a situation that turns out to be a romantic plot. Isn’t that a cheesy imagination?
It may seem cheesy to many of us, but it was a reality for Paula Tutman, an Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, who met the man of her dreams in an unexpected setting with a motorcycle.
Biography, Age, Nationality, Parents
Paula was born on August 21, 1976, to loving parents. Her family also includes her older brother, a law professor and professional environmentalist, and her twin sister, Lisa, an Emmy award-winning journalist.
Paula grew up in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and Tanzania, East Africa, and was always interested in telling stories, which led her to pursue a career in journalism.
A little-known fact is that, in addition to being a dedicated journalist, Paula is also an award-winning author. Although she has written a number of books, one that really stood out was Deadline, a riveting thriller novel.
Relationship Status: Single?
If you’re struggling to balance your career and family life, Paula might be the perfect inspiration for you.
Despite her hectic schedule, Paula makes an effort to spend as much time as she can with her husband, Johnny Menifee, the fire chief in Southfield, Michigan, and her three lovely stepdaughters. In fact, this is not the first time she has made time for her family; she has done so for the past 11 years, since the couple’s first date.
Back in 2007, Paula has an intriguing story to tell about how she met her man.
Karl Kuss, a guy I met a week before, invited me to a charity motorcycle ride. Johnny Menifee approached Karl’s wife, Kathy, and asked if he could accompany her. I’m glad she said yes. And a blind date of 60 miles turned into a lifetime friendship and love affair.”
Paula and her husband began to visit each other frequently from the start, which sparked their love. On September 9, 2009, they molded their raw love into marriage.
Furthermore, the motorcycle-made-couple celebrated their 9th anniversary on September 9, 2017, with Paula flaunting beautiful photos of their togetherness. Looking at their post-wedding photos, it is clear that they adore each other.
Career and Professional Life
42-years-old Paula’s arrival at WDIV Local 4 Michigan in 1992, at the age of 16, was a watershed moment in her life. She has worked as a general assignment reporter for the network since then.
Aside from journalism, Paula is active in community service, which she considers to be her second full-time job. She manages the Tutman tribe’s respect as the founder of the Children’s Tooth Fairy Foundation, a non-profit that strives to provide education and dental care to Michigan’s uninsured and underserved children.
