Nathan Parsons was born Nathan Dean Parsons on June 16, 1988, in Adelaide, Australia. Nathan grew up in a household of five, including two brothers, Robert and Jared Parsons. His parents are unknown, however, his father worked as a civilian administrator at a military base.
Nathan’s family immigrated to the United States when he was a child. They moved to Colorado at first but eventually settled in Texas. Nathan finished his high school education at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Texas.
Nathan attended the University of Southern California after graduating from high school. However, he dropped out of college after a year and a half because he was too eager to try the waters of the real world.

Nathan’s road to fame was bumpy as he dropped out of college without graduating. He made his film debut in the 2007 horror comedy Teeth. After a string of modest parts in TV dramas, he received his big break in 2009 with General Hospital.
Following that, he appeared in the hit vampire shows True Blood and The Originals. He also had a recurrent role on the ABC Family show Bunheads.
