“I learned beach volleyball largely from my stepfather.” My stepfather is a competitive athlete. He played basketball in college (at USC) and now devotes his time to volleyball and softball. He’s been my father since I was three years old, and he’s had a big influence on me, especially in athletics.”

Kevin joined his Palisades High School’s swimming team in addition to volleyball, but he left after a year or so.
