Professional Career And Life
On July 16, 2018, Dia committed to a professional deal with Stade de Reims following a strong debut season with Jura Sud Foot in which he scored 15 goals in 21 appearances. He made his professional debut with Reims on October 20, 2018, in a 1-1 draw with Angers in Ligue 1.
On October 25, 2020, Dia scored three goals in a 4-0 victory over Montpellier. Since Santiago Santamaria in 1978, he was the first Reims player to score a hat-trick in the top league. This contest resulted in the team’s first league victory of the 2020–21 campaign.
Dia was acquired by Villarreal from Stade Reims on a five-year contract on July 13, 2021. He received a lot of appreciation for his performance when he played his first game for Villareal in 2021 against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup.
