Marissa Mitchell’s favorite aspect of her job is that no two days are ever the same. Every day, her job allows her to meet a diverse range of people and cover cutting-edge events. She frequently meets people at a critical juncture in their lives.

Marissa, 34, who grew up celebrating her birthday on February 5th every year, has experienced several heartbreaks as a result of the loss of loved ones in her family.
Her father and uncle, two of her closest and most important male figures in her life, died in the last few years.
She talked about their grief, especially her mother, who not only said goodbye to her husband but also to her brother.

Marissa’s sister, in addition to being the best sibling, is a great friend, mother, and fantastic teacher.

Meanwhile, she is married to her job, which pays her a ridiculously low salary, not to mention the incentives and bonuses that come with it.
Looking back, she made the correct career decision. And she did make better use of her formal education in practice.
Emory University awarded her a B.S. in Political Science, Government, and Journalism, and Northwestern University awarded her a Master’s degree.
