Margaret Carlson was born and raised by her parents, James Francis Xavier Bresnahan and Mary Catherine McCreary, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. She grew up with two brothers named Jimmy and Edmund. Despite concealing her actual birth date and age, Daniel Lippman’s 2016 tweet suggests she celebrates her birthday on November 29 every year.
Carlson had to deal with a difficult family crisis. In addition to her parents’ deaths, her brother, Jimmy, was afflicted with a serious illness. His brain was damaged at birth due to an epileptic seizure. Despite the strange circumstances, Margaret rose with courage and determination.
