Lisa went to Kaplan College in San Antonio for high school. She developed an interest in broadcast journalism while in college. She later went on to intern at local radio stations.
She attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University after graduating from high school. In 2010, she earned a bachelor’s degree in meteorology.
Career
Lisa was set up to advance in her career after gaining some experience from local TV stations. Her first job was with KLFY TV 10 as a meteorologist. She worked for the company until September 2014, when she left to work for KRGV-TV.
Lisa later joined CBS News in the Dallas area as a weekend meteorologist in September 2014. In no time, the producers recognized her potential and promoted her to a weekday meteorologist. Lisa has been the chief meteorologist at KOLD/KMSB TV since October 2017.
