Kristi Nelson’s obsession with journalism began when she was nine years old, when Santa mysteriously left her a typewriter beneath the Christmas tree.
The youngster quickly began pounding out articles based on concepts she picked up from watching TV. She would later cut and paste the stories into a printed form and sell them for 25 cents to her family members. Kristi discovered her true calling early on, which helped her pursue news and storytelling in the long run.
She even pursued formal education, earning a prestigious master’s degree from Columbia University.
Kristi now co-anchors NBC 5 First at Four, NBC 5 News at 11 a.m., NBC 5 Talk Street, and Lone Star Politics for KXAS-TV NBC 5 News.
She is also a regular on several other NBC 5 shows throughout the week.
Kristi Nelson: Age, Family
Kristi, who stands at an unknown height, grew up celebrating her birthday on August 7th every year. She appears to be a family person who gets along well with her family.
Despite her hectic schedule, she makes herself available to her family. Kristi has a soft spot for everyone, from her parents and siblings to her little nieces.
However, her social media activities and interviews place a greater emphasis on her relationship with her mother, Hellen.
Her mother was in a difficult medical situation at one point, but her daughter stepped in like a guardian angel.
Kristi gave her mother a kidney. Kristi documented the process in a multi-part series called “Kristi’s Gift,” which aired on NBC5 in August 2011. Her performance in the series earned her an Emmy nomination.
Relationship Status: Single?
Based on her life stories thus far, it is clear that Kristi is not married and does not have anyone in her life whom she could refer to as her husband.
On Valentine’s Day, she would rather eat the most delicious-looking cupcakes than go on a date with her love. It is far too early in her life to draw any conclusions or pass judgment on her personal affairs.
Nonetheless, Kristi has a lot going on in her life aside from dating. She has covered issues relating to justice, race, communities, and health in recent years, having gained experience in the sports world, politics, and day-to-day news.
As a result, she has been writing articles about the science of weight loss and why it is important in shaping an individual’s overall health.
The beautifully written articles published by NBC 5 not only inspire people on a regular basis, but also contribute financially to Kristi’s mainstream salary.
