Dan Katz, also known as ‘Big Cat,’ is well-known among fans for co-hosting the podcast Pardon My Take. The podcast is available three times per week.
Although Dan frequently discusses sports news with a humorous twist, Dan Katz rarely discusses his dating or married life, even though “Dan Katz’s wife” is a frequently asked question about him.
Podcasts are meant to be a platform where the host and guests can speak openly about their lives behind closed doors. Nonetheless, Dan was never a fan of this concept. Partly because of the potential intrusion into his family’s life. However, we dug deep and discovered a few photos of his long-time partner.
Furthermore, there are rumors that the Chicago-based blogger is married with one child. Are the rumors correct? Dan, after all, did mention being pregnant once. Let’s take a closer look at his personal life.
Is Dan Katz married or not?
First and foremost, let’s clear the air about Dan’s personal life. The man has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend. Even though Dan’s girlfriend’s name has not been revealed, one of his fans refers to her as “lady cat.”
Don’t you think it’s a fitting name for the Big Cat’s companion?
The big question is, have the Big Cat and Lady Cat married yet? Some observant fans believe Dan is married to his girlfriend. How? Dan’s random 4th of July week-long vacation in Paris in 2020, according to his Reddit fans, was most likely a honeymoon.
What adds to the point is that Dan is very private about his personal life, so this could be the case. Dan has also stated that he wishes to separate his professional and personal lives.
Whatever the case may be, the blogger appears to be content with his life, and we, as fans, wish to see the same.
Dan once mentioned that he was expecting a child; has he become a father?
Dan surprised his fans in March 2019 when he shared a tweet. He claimed in the tweet that he and his girlfriend or wife are expecting their first child. In addition, he stated that he will become a father in June of the same year.
He also shared an article from Barstool Sports in which he openly discussed the importance of keeping his personal life private. He mentioned in the report that he was expecting a boy. Dan and his wife welcomed their first child on June 19, 2019. He shared the exciting news on Twitter, along with a photo of his son’s birth certificate and picture.
It’s been about a year since his baby was born, and he’ll be two years old this June.
Dan, in addition to announcing the birth of his child, stated that he will not be answering any further questions about his child. He stated,
“I won’t say much more than this right now. I will not create content based on my child’s birth or upbringing. There is no right or wrong way to approach this; only a personal one.”
He goes on to say while pleading with his ardent fans to respect his decision,
“I want to give my future son the most normal upbringing possible, which includes not posting his childhood on the internet for all to see. That is my personal preference, and I hope you understand.”
Aside from talking about his child, Dan also expressed his desire to keep his partner out of the spotlight. He does not want his celebrity to interfere with his family life. He stated,
“She has had my back through everything, the trips, the long nights at the office, moving from Chicago to NYC, the 24/7 sports, and all I want to do is have hers in the same way, and that’s by protecting her and hoping you guys can do the same.”
We certainly understand you, Big Cat, and we hope you are a wonderful father and partner to your girlfriend or wife.
