Is Candice Patton Married? Here’s All You Need To Know About Her Relationship Status!

Candice Patton is an American actress who was born on June 24, 1988, in Jackson, Mississippi.

She is most recognized for her role in The CW’s The Flash as Irish West-Allen. She had also appeared in several episodes of the BET series The Game as Tori.

Before pursuing a career in acting, the actress attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Her big break in The Young and the Restless came after she won a CBS talent competition for university students.

Patton received her acting break in 2008 with a key role in the web sitcom Sorority Forever after getting discovered on the show.

Patton revealed in a 2015 interview with Glamour that she was “so single” that she had to leave all of her options open. However, according to numerous media sources, she was eventually discovered to be involved in multiple partnerships at different times.

She is believed to be single in recent days, according to accusations made by The Netline in an article published on May 11, 2021. These reports should be taken with a grain of salt, as only Patton can confirm if she is single or in a relationship.

Relationship Status

Until now, there has been no indication that Patton is interested in a long-term relationship. As far as we know, the actress has never been married and hence has no husband or spouse.

Patton’s name has been linked to other celebrities in the past, and her apparent love life has been the subject of online speculation. So, if we’re going to make a timeline of her romantic history, we’ll have to start in 2015, when she said in an interview with Glamour,

I’m really lonely. I’ve been single for a long time. It’s quite difficult to meet new individuals. It’s quite difficult. Because I’m always working, I never see the guys in Canada. I’ll be on the lookout!

We can deduce from this that her search for a boyfriend began six years ago. After four years, the lovely actress appeared in the headlines due to a relationship.

She was linked to NBA player JR Smith, formerly of the Los Angeles Lakers, in 2019. Later, viewers were made to believe that Rick Cosnett was her lover thanks to an Instagram post.

Candice Patton and JR Smith Smith, a father of three children who married in 2016, was reported to be Patton’s boyfriend after they were photographed together at a Halloween party in October 2019, according to People.

Smith’s friendship with the popular actress came dangerously close to jeopardizing his marriage to Jewel Smith. When reports surfaced that Patton was living with the basketball star, the turmoil skyrocketed.

When matters between Smith and Patton became tense in 2020, Jewel posted a video on Instagram about her husband and Patton, accusing them of having an affair. “She said,” she explained.

My husband is in pain, and Candice is in pain… I simply hope that you grant her grace and mercy as she goes out here, Father God, and looks for a married man.

Smith responded to the viral video by revealing that he had been separated from his wife for four months at the time. Smith’s affair with Patton was said to be the cause of his brief separation from his wife.

Even after Jewel and Smith reconciled and were spotted together at their daughter’s birthday party, the shooting guard continued to be amorous with Patton on social media, liking her photos and leaving filthy emoji comments.

People have speculated that there is more to it than meets the eye.

Rick Cosnett, Patton’s Rumored Boyfriend

After the drama with Smith died down, the high-profile celebrity was thrust back into the spotlight. In April 2019, a photo Patton shared on Instagram prompted relationship speculations between her and actor Cosnett.

Patton may be seen standing close to The Flash actor in the photo. While the two stood in the rear, an unnamed lady can be seen shooting a selfie. After much conjecture, Patton and Cosnett both acknowledged they were only friends, thereby putting an end to the myth.
