Laurentiis married her longtime partner, Todd Thompson, a fashion designer, in May 2003. They exchanged vows in an Italian wedding ceremony. The couple welcomed their first child, a girl named Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson, five years later, in March 2008.
However, despite 25 years of marriage and the existence of a daughter, their marriage was doomed to fail. They began living separately in July 2014 and filed for divorce in December of that year. On December 30, 2014, the Italian-American chef announced her divorce on Facebook, claiming that it was a mutually agreeable decision.
Her spouse received $2 million and $9,000 a month in child support in the divorce settlement, which was one of the most costly at the time.
