Savannah Guthrie and Her First Husband’s Marriage
While everyone knows Guthrie is happily married to Feldman, many are unaware that this is her second marriage.
Mark Orchard, a former BBC journalist, was her first husband. In 2005, the former couple met while covering Michael Jackson’s molestation trial.
Her first husband was married to Anne Elise Kornblut, a Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist at the time.
According to legend, Guthrie intervened between the couple and turned Orchard’s life upside down.
They married in December 2005, but the marriage didn’t last long, and they divorced in 2009.
According to Good Housekeeping, she told The Hollywood Reporter that things changed after she became a White House correspondent for NBC in December 2008.
“I was doing the best I could in my personal life, and my professional life was going better,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Guthrie asked the court in her divorce petition to remove her first husband’s surname and did not request financial support or alimony.
Guthrie and Orchard kept their divorce private, so the reason for it is unknown.

Fortunately for Guthrie, she found her happily ever after with Feldman despite the difficult divorce.
In 2008, the broadcast journalist met her current husband. She was already living apart from her first husband at the time.
She had gone to Feldman’s 40th birthday party with a mutual friend, and they began dating and fell in love the following spring.
She revealed the reason she fell in love with Feldman in an interview with Drew and Jonathan Scott’s Reveal magazine.
“One of the things I liked about Mike is that he is extremely handy. “I thought, ‘Wow, here’s a sophisticated city kid who can actually do things,'” Guthrie said.
She went on to say that her father used to fix their cars, and she wished her husband could do the same.
Feldman proposed to her while on vacation in Turks and Caicos in 2013.
Guthrie was not interested in getting married and was contemplating divorce at the time. But when Feldman got down on his knees, she said yes in two seconds.
The couple married in a ceremony near the bride’s hometown of Tucson, Arizona, in 2014. The couple is now happily married with two children.
