On Saturday, February 12, 2022, Michael Rubin hosted his annual Fanatics bash Super Bowl party at 3Labs in Culver City, and the guests included Travis Scott, Kevin Hart, Shaquille O’Neal, Eli Manning, Charlie & Dixie D’Amelio, and others.
With so many big names under one roof, it’s understandable that the venue was teeming with paparazzi — some more polite than others, it seems.
Dixie D’Amelio has become the talk of the town since the annual bash, and not because she released a new song.
A video of a rude paparazzi yelling at the older D’Amelio sister went viral on TikTok and then spread to other social media platforms.
The Video of the Paparazzi Yelling at Dixie D’Amelio Has Gone Viral
A TikTok video uploaded by the user ‘blesstune’ that went viral showed Dixie posing for photos with the press as she walked the red carpet for the Fanatics Super Bowl Bash.
She was caught by a swarm of photographers as she switched poses in response to their requests. As the singer was drowned out by camera flashes, one of the paparazzi in the audience could be heard asking, “What’s the deal?”
Dixie, visibly agitated, asked the paparazzi, “Why are you yelling?” only to be interrupted by a cameraman yelling, “You’re not looking! That’s the reason!”
The cameraperson’s rude demeanor stunned Dixie and enraged her fans.
Supporters of Dixie D’Amelio
The TikTok star’s fans flocked to the now-viral video’s comments section to show their support.
“They act as if she can look at all the cameras at once,” one user wrote on another TikTok video of the same incident.
To this, the post’s creator added that the swarm of camera people was especially inconsiderate given Dixie’s sensitivity to flashing lights to begin with.
Another user urged the paparazzi to sympathize with the creator, writing, “Everyone literally needs to chill like she’s trying to get pictures for everyone but it’s probably pressuring for her.”
As of this writing, Dixie has chosen not to honor the paparazzi’s rude behavior with an official address.
About the Super Bowl Fanatics Bash Party
According to Page Six’s reports, the event itself was every bit the bash that was promised.
Apart from the obviously star-studded list of attendees, the outlet revealed that the list of performers was also not to be dismissed.
The who’s who of Hollywood mingled and danced to the intoxicating performances of Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat.
According to the outlet’s sources, Leonardo DiCaprio also snuck into the party, though he relegated himself to the VIP section to hang out with his pal Kevin Connolly.
They also stated that a number of A-list celebrities snuck into the secluded area and joined The Wolf of Wall Street star.
The host, Ruben, told the outlet that they decided to change the timings of the party this time.
“If we’re being honest with each other, we used to start at 12:30 p.m. and everybody was too hung over,” Rubin admitted. “So we’ve changed it to 2 p.m.”
“We like the daytime party, we like bringing people together, and doing it in Los Angeles is much better,” he added.
