In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in 2019, Tom’s daughter Adria and Annakim sought $5 million in damages plus attorney’s fees. The daughter also stated that after numerous attempts to reach an amicable resolution, they could no longer stand by and watch Dana disregard Tom’s wishes.
In the lawsuit, Tom’s daughters also claim that Tom assigned them equal responsibility for his estate. The lawsuit also claims that Dana has caused the daughters to miss out on business opportunities, and that Dana set up a company called Tom Petty Legacy to protect plaintiff’s business opportunities and misappropriate its assets.
Furthermore, Dana’s lawyers stated that Adria’s erratic behavior has made it extremely difficult to conduct business. Dana also stated that Adria interfered with the release of Tom’s third album, Wildflower.
The conflict between Tom’s daughter and wife has become increasingly heated.
