The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Chris Doering in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 1996 NFL Draft. Doering was waived by the Indianapolis Colts in February 1998 and signed by the Cincinnati Bengals a week later. He was, however, released prior to the start of the 1998 regular season.
