Chip Esten, also known as Charles Esten, is an actor, musician, and comedian from the United States. He is best known for his role as country singer Deacon Claybourne on ABC/hit CMT’s drama Nashville, which helped launch his musical career.

On September 9, 1965, Charles Esten Puskar III was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. He is 6 feet (1.85m) tall and weighs around 75 kilograms. Charles is the son of Cynthia Esten and has a sister named Cathy Puskar.
