Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus), a rapper and performer, and his ex-girlfriend Shya L’Amour are the parents of Kalea Marie Cephus (Nicole Marie Algarin).
Along with his cousins Quavo and Takeoff, Kalea Marie Cephus father Offset is a member of the hip-hop group known as the Migos. The esports team FaZe Clan has investors, including Marie’s father.
Offset, Lamour, and Marie’s parents’ relationship was rife with controversy and conflict. But they both appear to adore their daughter without conditions.

Rapper Parents gave birth to Kalea Marie Cephus
On March 23, 2015, Kaela Cephus was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She has already disclosed that her father is a rapper and a member of the hip-hop group Migos. Following the 2013 hit “Versace” by Migos, he became well-known. The 2017 song “Bad & Boujee” by Migos went viral online.
According to the US Billboard Hot 100 list, the single peaked at number one. He debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 chart with his 2017 album, Culture.
Similarly, Shya Lmour, Marie’s mother, is a rapper from Florida. Shya was 26 years old when Kalea was born.
The Migos member asked his daughter Kalea to adopt his last name in court documents filed in his Georgian lawsuit out of Fulton County.
Initially given the name Kalea Marie Algarin by Marie’s mother, Nicole Marie Algarin, Offset objected. Thus, he requested that it be changed to Kalea Marie Algarin Cephus by the authorities.
The rapper also requested that Kalea have joint legal and physical custody. Last October 2019, Nicole (also known as Shya L’amour) filed documents requesting more child support from the artist. Offset asserted that he was already providing support and that both parties should be liable for their daughter’s expenses.
If Kalea Marie was his daughter, Offset had doubts.
The Lawrenceville native alluded to missing Kalea’s first few years of existence in his hit song “Father of 4.” This was primarily due to his uncertainty regarding his paternity.
Shya L’Amour was upset by that. To convince Offset that she was telling the truth, she claimed that she had even offered to pay for a DNA test. However, he turned her down. The rapper from Florida stated that Offset changed his phone number and blocked Shya’s after she announced her pregnancy.
She then alleged that Offset was concealing the fact that at the time he was dating another woman who was carrying their kid.
Offset finally consented to the test, and it appears that as a result, he is now a very devoted father to Kalea.

Kalea has two elder half brothers, Jordan and Kody Cephus, who she shares with her father, Offset, from their prior and present relationships. Additionally, Kulture Kiari Cephus, her younger sister, was conceived as a result of her father’s connection with Grammy Award-winning artist Cardi B.
When he was 17 years old, Offset had Jordan with Justin Watson. Watson came to court in 2017 to demand child support from the rapper despite having lived a secluded life for many years. She said that Offset only occasionally contributed financially to her extracurricular activities, medical costs, and educational necessities. Watson attempted to obtain $15,000 in attorney fees and retroactive child support.

Later, Marie’s father admitted that while recording his album, The Father Of Four, which was inspired by his struggles as a father, he cried. Offset once remarked that because he was too young, the experience of being a father for the first time was a little difficult for him. He continued by saying that he was looking for himself at the time Jordan was born.
The father of Kalea later gave birth to Kody, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Oriel Jamie. Kody was born on March 3, 2015, after Cephus and Jamie began dating in 2013.
After his relationship with Jamie came to an end, he began dating Shya, the mother of Kalea, and later platinum rapper Cardi B, with whom he welcomed Kulture Kiari Cephus, their first child together. He is ready to give birth to his fifth child with Cardi.
Her Parents Had a Date Briefly
Offset and Shya L’amour, the parents of Kalea Marie, had a very stormy relationship. At age 25, her mother began dating creatives from Georgia. L’Amour and Offset first started dating in 2014. Their romance was brief, lasting just a few months.
The latter stated that Kalea was mainly unavailable for the Versace rappers. She occasionally used harsh language to criticize Offset, mainly on social media.
The rapper and her ex-partner appear to be nice as of right now, though. Offset’s improvement as a man was credited to Cardi B, according to a video Shya made. In the video, Lamour recognized their love for one another and claimed that Marie’s father had stepped up, showing her the affection she needed recently by being present.

Kalea’s father has spent several times in jail.

The Dad of Marie was imprisoned in Georgia’s DeKalb County Jail in 2013. This came about after he broke the terms of the probation he had been placed on after receiving earlier felony convictions for stealing and burglary.
He was apprehended in a school safety zone in 2015 with marijuana, a weapon, and an unidentified Schedule II narcotic.
In addition to these crimes, Cephus’ father also engaged in rioting, battery, driving while his license was suspended, and carrying a hidden firearm.
When Cephus failed to include Kalea’s name while tattooing, her mother panicked.
Offset, a father of four tattooed the names of each of his children on his body in September 2018 as a big display of his love for them. However, as her mother, Lamour alleged, Kalea’s name was left off the list.
The rapper for Bad and Boujee used Instagram to give fans a close-up look at the tattoos on his body, which included Jordan’s shoulder tattoo, Kodi’s name along his jawline, and the terms of his three sons: Kodi on one side of his face and Kulture along the other.
But according to the footage, Marie didn’t get the same ink treatment. Her mother was not pleased as a result. As a result, she expressed her outrage via an Instagram video in which she spoke inaudibly.

According to the alleged messages that Shya shared, Offset fully ceased providing financial support when she refused to have sex with her ex at his request.
Offset allegedly begged his baby mother for sex “one last time” when he was still married to Cardi B, according to a snapshot of a text conversation shared by Kalea’s mother on social media.
The texts, oddly enough, were from June 2018. This happened a few months after the rapper and B got married. Additionally, Almanazar was expecting their child Kulture at this time.
Lamour emphasized on Instagram that she was genuinely going to stop posting but Offset and his “hoe” — were being too disrespectful despite her attempts to be polite and sympathetic.
Offset allegedly even told Shya lies about his marriage to the Grammy-winning singer.
