Workout Routine for Lewis Tan

Lewis is a fantastic actor, but he is unquestionably a better action star. Lewis has a long list of notable jobs under his belt, and he is widely regarded as one of the best action actors in the United Kingdom. As I usually say, I adore action stars since they are the ones who perform the majority of action scenes by themselves.

Every actor that is a martial artist, whether it’s Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, or Jackie Jan, would amaze you with how much danger they put themselves in to offer us what we love to watch. So, Lewis now falls into that category, as a Muay Thai student who has been training Katana for more than seven years, as well as a multi-weapons and stunts team member.

Lewis might be considered one of the most appropriate definitions of an action star. So, what was the actor’s Mortal Kombat preparation like? Men’s Health recently conducted interviews with numerous members of the film’s cast, as I mentioned in Joe’s post. Which also includes Lewis Tan; you can see the interview right here.

I’ll tell you right now that Lewis’ regimen is not simple and certainly not for beginners. Lewis works out for six hours a day, six days a week, doing Muay Thai, pad workouts, stunt choreography, wire harness workouts, weapons training, and some weight training. So, let’s get this party started;

The following exercises are included in Lewis Tan’s workout:

Warm-up

He starts by stretching, and he stretches a lot to open up every area of his body that he uses in martial arts. To achieve a solid stretching regimen, observe a few stretches in Lewis’ videos and combine them with stretching exercises.

Later, Lewis engages in shadow boxing, in which he observes himself in the mirror and engages in shadow boxing. He can then concentrate on his form, imitate the moves, and develop them on his own.

Pad Workout

Lewis enjoys doing a padded workout after his warm-up, where he will do a variety of kicks like as sidekicks, ax kicks, tornado kicks, and so on. It serves as a light warm-up for Lewis before his intense sparring sessions.

Muay Thai Boxing

Later, he proceeds to his Muay Thai boxing practice program, where he spars with his trainer frequently. It becomes really intense for Lewis and taxing, but it’s one of the key routines.

Weapons Instruction

He moves on to the weapon training program after the sparring workout. As we witnessed in the movies, Lewis’ expertise is the Katana. He also trains with the Katana champion and has been doing so for more than seven years. However, you are free to use whichever weapon you choose to train with.

Wire Harness Training/Stunt Choreography

Later, Lewis joins the stunt squad, where he does a lot of combat choreography. Starting with everyday battle scenarios, he progressed to wearing a wire harness and doing a variety of air kicks using the technologies and momentum of his own body.

Weight Lifting

Lewis undertakes a variety of activities and doesn’t follow a strict plan when it comes to weight training. After he finishes the majority of the training, it’s more like a full-body workout every day.

Lewis performs a circuit routine in which he moves from one exercise to the next without stopping. Bicep curls, hammer curls, overhead triceps press, shrugs, shoulder press, abs, and other exercises are among the activities he performs.
