In the music industry, Danielle Haim and her boyfriend, Ariel Rechtshaid, are a power couple. HAIM is a critically regarded band that has built a name for itself in the music world. Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim are the three sisters who make up the band.
Out of three sisters, Danielle is the lead singer, with other siblings assisting with instruments and singing. For almost a decade, the band has been making songs. Typically, they work with a variety of producers, one of which being Rechtshaid.
Beyoncé, Madonna, Adele, Charli XCX, Justin Bieber, Solange Knowles, and U2 have all collaborated with the Grammy-winning producer. But it’s possible that HAIM is the one he cherishes the most. This is due to his relationship with the band’s lead singer.
Ariel Rechtshaid and Danielle Haim
Danielle and Rechtshaid met for the first time in 2012. In an interview with NME on January 28, 2021, the singer discussed how she met her boyfriend for the first time. Danielle had heard songs produced by Rechtshaid before meeting him. Cass McCombs’ ‘County Line’ was the first song she heard, and she went on the hunt for the producer. She discovered Rechtshaid’s name and was enthralled by his abilities. Then she heard Usher’s “Climax” a few weeks later.
Rechtshaid was the one who generated the song once more, she noticed. She then informed her management that she wished to meet the producer, and the two soon met. They had performed a couple songs together and had chemistry, but nothing had happened between them until that point.
They met while HAIM was on press tours in London and Rechtshaid was mixing records in the city.
“It was a long build after that,” the producer explained, “but I think that was when Danielle and I immediately had this connection.” The rest, as they say, is history.
Neither of them has stated when they began dating, however it is known that they are currently dating.
Although Danielle isn’t very active on social media, Rechtshaid frequently shares photos of his girlfriend on Instagram.

Ariel Rechtshaid’s Cancer
In 2015, while working on HAIM’s second album, Something to Tell You, the Grammy-winning producer was diagnosed with testicular cancer. As a result, the album has been placed on hold while Rechtshaid is being treated.
Neither Rechtshaid nor HAIM, on the other hand, made any mention of the former’s cancer. They only mentioned it as a cause for the delay after the album was published. The sisters stayed by their producer’s side during his treatment and assisted him in fighting the battle. But, sadly, it took a mental toll on Danielle throughout that period.
Danielle had trouble dealing with her boyfriend and his condition, the sisters stated in an interview with The Independent in August 2020. She became melancholy as a result. Danielle, on the other hand, was able to overcome her sadness with the aid of her sisters and therapist. On HAIM’s hit ‘Summer Girl,’ she also expressed her feelings over her boyfriend’s illness.
After her boyfriend’s diagnosis, Danielle wrote it while on vacation with him. As a result, she felt compelled to be there for him, and she put her heart and soul into the song.
She couldn’t speak publicly about Rechtshaid’s cancer because it wasn’t her story to tell. She was glad, though, that people recognized “where the music was coming from” after the publication of their single.
Rechtshaid triumphed over cancer, and his bond with his lover is stronger than ever.
