It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly. Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever. Love, The Braxton Family”

Traci Braxton was most known for her appearances on the reality television show “Braxton Family Values,” which she co-hosted with her sisters Tamar, Toni, Towanda, and Trina, as well as her brother Michael and his family.
On the show, Ms. Braxton was dubbed the “Wild Card,” which started on the WE tv network in 2011 and aired until late 2020. Ms. Braxton and her husband, Kevin Surratt, previously starred on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.”
Traci Renee Braxton was born on April 2, 1971, as Michael and Evelyn’s third child.
In Severn, Maryland, the Braxton children were nurtured in a devout home. Their father, who worked part-time as a preacher, prevented the family from listening to secular music.

As a teenager and young adult, Ms. Braxton sang with her sisters, and the five of them eventually formed the Braxtons and recorded the single “Good Life” in 1990.
Toni Braxton left the group to pursue a solo career, and her debut album, released in 1993, received critical praise.
Except for Traci Braxton, who left the music profession in the 1990s to raise her kid, the other sisters stayed together. Before the sisters reunited for “Braxton Family Values,” she worked as a social worker.
She discussed her decision to leave music and the unresolved sentiments she had about it on the show, which set her on a path to return to the industry. “Crash & Burn,” her solo debut album, was released in 2014, and “On Earth,” her follow-up album, was released in 2018.
