Sir Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton is a British race car driver. He is presently a Formula One driver for Mercedes, having previously driven for McLaren from 2007 to 2012.

Six-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has revealed that his sole road cars are the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz EQC and Smart EQ ForTwo. He also stated that, in order to reduce his carbon footprint, he prefers to be picked up from airports in electric vehicles whenever possible, and that he no longer uses his own private jet. Hamilton owns two Shelby Cobras, a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 replica, a Ferrari 599 SA Aperta, a LaFerrari, and a LaFerrari Aperta, a McLaren P1 and a Pagani Zonda. At the time, he indicated that the automobiles will be divided between Los Angeles and Monaco.
In 2015, the racer drove a Koenigsegg Agera S in the Gumball 3000 Rally. He also worked on the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar, which uses the engine from Mercedes’ championship-winning Formula One car. In 1998, Lewis Hamilton joined the McLaren young driver network. He was hired as an official Formula One McLaren driver in 2007. He is the first and only black racecar driver in the sport. He finished second to Kimi Räikkönen in the 2007 season.
